An Afternoon Tea Baby Shower

One of my dear friends is having a sweet babe any day now and I just realized I never posted about the shower we hosted for her in back in February.  Of course, I love a theme and when brainstorming ideas for a gender neutral baby shower, it hit me.  A royal themed afternoon tea! Perfect for my sweet friend who loves all things british and royal!

When planning, we had to come up with a color scheme... an actual "royal tea" wouldn't be kitschy... it would be elegant so we decided on Gold & White invitations! The other hostesses and I spent a full evening putting these together but we were thrilled with how they turned out.

Here are some of the details from the shower...

Set-up in the dining room... we had a lot of guests which meant LOTS of place settings.

We used tiered serving pieces throughout with an assortment of food so each guest could have access to all of the goodies!

Sugar Cubes, preserves, cream, clotted cream and lemon curd were on each table.

We didn't have room for everyone in the dining room so we set up another table in the kitchen.

We made a menu with all of the food and tea options for each guest on their plate.

So excited to meet this baby and find out BOY or GIRL!

Floral and Feathers Baby Shower

My friend Jennigray and I hosted a fun floral and feathers themed baby shower for our friend Melissa and her baby girl.  Melissa loves Rifle Paper Co so we tried to find a floral design that looked similar to something Rifle would have and I found one on one of the stock photo websites. We designed the invitation using the floral design and banners from the stock photo. Then, we carried the design into our food tags, favors and games at the shower.  Jennigray is a master of flowers so she did the beautiful centerpiece and the arrangement on the mantle and came up with the idea to incorporate gold dipped feathers into the decor as well.  It was a fun afternoon celebrating Melissa!
